Lincoln Riley breaks down what NFL teams would be getting in Jordan Addison
With draft week here, USC WR Jordan Addison expects to be one of the top receiver prospects off the board. Lincoln Riley anticipates the same thing considering what all that Addison brings to the table as a player.
Riley explained what NFL teams would be getting in Addison if they were to draft him during an appearance on First Take on Tuesday. To start, he said he brings a versatile, unique skill set to the field that will be a major weapon to his new offense.
“An outstanding player. The thing that really stands out about Jordan is just how versatile he is,” said Riley. “Talking with all the different NFL teams throughout this process? You can see so many have a real interest in this guy. Regardless of their style of offense, regardless of if they see him primarily in the slot or primarily outside.”
“It’s just a really, really cool skill set. And something that I think people can be very creative with,” Riley continued.
Additionally, Riley said Addison has an obsession with the game. He knows he’s going to be successful at the next level because of how he sees the game and, in turn, plays it.

“And, also, he’s a football guy. He gets it. He understands the game. And he sees it through, really, a pretty unique lens in terms of playing the receiver position,” said Riley. “Obviously he was outstanding for us and it’s been fun to watch him live out this dream here on Thursday night.
During his lone season as a Trojan, Addison caught 59 passes for 875 yards and eight touchdowns. He put up that production over the course of 11 games. His previous season at Pittsburgh, though, is what really put him on the map. In 2021, he caught 100 passes as a Panther for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns in route to winning the Biletnikoff Award.
In total, Addison caught 219 passes in college for over 3,100 receiving yards and scored 30 total touchdowns.
Ahead of the NFL Draft, Riley fully believes that Addison can continue that level of play at the level. Now, the question of where is the only thing left to determine as they wait for the clock to start on Thursday night.
