USC WR Mario Williams enters NCAA Transfer Portal

USC wide receiver Mario Williams has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. He spent two years with the Trojans after starting his career at Oklahoma.

Williams was one of Caleb Williams’ top targets at both Oklahoma and USC. This past season, he totaled 29 receptions — which tied for the third-most on the Trojans’ roster — for 305 yards and two touchdowns. In 2022, though, he had the best year of his career with 40 receptions for 631 receiving yards and five touchdowns. That made him USC’s third-leading receiver.

As a freshman at Oklahoma in 2021, Mario Williams had 35 receptions for 380 yards and four touchdowns before entering the portal to join forces with Lincoln Riley and Caleb Williams in Los Angeles.

Williams played high school football at Plant City (FL) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 33 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
