On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: USC trending to flip 2024 OT Justin Tauanuu from Stanford

USC is trending to flip Huntington Beach (Calif.) three-star offensive tackle Justin Tauanuu away from Stanford, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Trojans recruiting insider Scott Schrader logged an expert prediction with a 65% confidence level that USC will flip Tauanuu’s commitment. USC now leads in the RPM with a 92.5% chance of receiving his commitment.

Tauanuu is currently visiting Los Angeles as USC hosts No. 5 Washington and has taken two other game-day visits to USC this fall.

Tauanuu is the nation’s No. 536 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 34 offensive tackle in the cycle and the No. 40 player from California.

The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

USC looking to add to top-25 class

Riley’s pledge list currently consists of one EDGE — Atlanta Washington four-star Kameryn Fountain — and one D-lineman — Landisville (Pa.) Hempfield three-star Deyvid Palepale. The Trojans recently missed out on the addition of Potomac (Md.) Quince Orchard four-star EDGE Jaylen Harvey, who committed to Penn State on Oct. 16.

USC’s class ranks No. 18 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking. Los Angeles Sierra Canyon four-star WR Xavier Jordan headlines the class alongside top-150 pledges Clearwater (Fla.) Academy International four-star IOL Jason Zandamela, Long Beach (Calif.) Millikan four-star WR Ryan Pellum, Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco four-star CB Marcelles Williams and Atlanta Washington four-star EDGE Kameryn Fountain.
