Oregon State transfer Talia von Oelhoffen commits to USC
After entering the NCAA transfer portal, former Oregon State guard Talia von Oelhoffen has committed to the USC Trojans, On3 has learned.
She announced her commitment via Twitter on Monday, accompanied by set of trading cards showing von Oelhoffen in her new USC threads in an NIL collaboration with Panini America. As one of the most coveted guards in the transfer portal now continues to add to USC’s loaded roster following four seasons with the Beavers.
Along with having the nation’s top high school recruiting class, the Trojans also return National Freshman of the Year and All-American JuJu Watkins and recently added Stanford forward Kiki Iriafan through the transfer portal as well. Who is projected to potentially be the top pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft as von Oelhoffen joins a squad that on paper will be one of the favorites to win next year’s national title.
von Oelhoffen earned Pac-12 All-Freshman Honorable Mention honors in the 2020-2021 after joining the Beavers mid-way through the season. Averaging 11.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game on a career-high 44% shooting from the field and 43.4% from behind the three-point line before becoming a full-time starter for Oregon State.
In the past three seasons von Oelhoffen has appeared in 92 games and made 90 starts where she averaged 12.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and a steal per game. Leading the Beavers in scoring with a career-high 13.7 points per game in the 2021-2022 season and leading the team in assists last season with a career-high 5.0 assists per game as the team’s top distributor.

von Oelhoffen is a two time All-Pac-12 Selection, also earning All-Pac-12 honorable mention honors in the 2022-2023 season where she battled injury. As she’ll now join forces with two other players that were all conference selections last season on the defending Pac-12 champions as they transition to the Big Ten Conference.
“In talking to Coach Lindsay, they’re exactly what I’m looking for in every way, and I was exactly what they needed: a combo guard that’s a veteran, been through the wars over my career, to help the freshmen out as they as they adjust to college basketball as everyone does,” von Oelhoffen told ESPN.
