A situation is emerging regarding Pittsburgh Panthers wide receiver Jordan Addison and his status with the program. A report emerged on Friday night that the Biletnikoff Award would be leaving and eventually entering the transfer portal.

Now, a team has emerged as an early possibility for Addison.

According to Bruce Feldman of The Athletic, USC is a “possible destination” for Addison, if he were to enter the transfer portal. He would join up with head coach Lincoln Riley and quarterback Caleb Williams, forming one of the top offenses in the country.

“SOURCE: Quite a situation brewing involving Biletnikoff Award winner Jordan Addison looking into transferring from Pitt with USC as a possible destination,” Feldman said.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel says there is already a connection between Addison and Williams, with both of them growing up in the same area. If USC ends up being the pick, the preexisting ties could be a determining factor.

“Jordan Addison is from Fredrick, Maryland,” Thamel said. “Caleb Williams is also from the DC area. There’s ties from that DMV relationship that could help Addision end up at USC.”

Addison had an outstanding season with the Panthers, going for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns on 100 receptions. If the rumors become reality, and he enters the transfer portal, he will instantly become the hottest name on the market, regardless of position.

USC has already been active in the transfer portal at wide receiver, bringing three into the program. Mario Williams, who followed Riley and Williams to Los Angeles from Oklahoma, is the biggest of the three. He and Addison would instantly become the top one-two duo in college football and give the Trojans a top offense.

Even before a potential move happens, Addison has been hyped up as a preseason All-American pick next season. That’s without Kenny Pickett as his quarterback and his position coach, Brennen Marion, leaving the program. Insert him in a Riley offense, and the numbers produced could get scary.
