After a long and lengthy process, former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Caleb Williams has decided on a school. The quarterback entered the transfer portal on Jan. 3 after Lincoln Riley left the program. Now, he will be joining the head coach out in Los Angeles with the USC Trojans.

Williams took to Twitter on Tuesday to officially announce the move, posting a hype video. Shots from his visit to LA Colesium are present, as do famous USC fans Snoop Dogg and Will Ferrell.

Also pictured in the video is former Oklahoma wide receiver, Mario Williams. Those two alongside cornerback Latrell McCutchin are the three former Sooners that will be following Riley to Los Angeles. Some serious talent influx is coming to USC just from Norman alone.

Ever since Williams entered the portal, he was ranked the No. 1 player available, according to the On3 transfer portal rankings. Just as he was coming out of high school, the quarterback was ranked a five-star.

Now, Williams will be going further away from his home in Washington D.C. to continue to play for Riley. The family has stressed their top priority has been getting in a position to be the top pick in the 2024 NFL draft. Riley has a proven track record doing so with Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray. Even though Jalen Hurts went in the second round, he has developed into a starting quarterback in the NFL.

Williams began the 2021 season behind Spencer Rattler. Once Oklahoma began to struggle on offense against Texas in the Red River Showdown, Riley decided to make a change at the quarterback position. It stuck throughout the rest of the season.

Williams threw for 1,912 yards, 21 touchdowns, and four interceptions throughout the year. He was just as big of a threat on the ground, rushing for 442 yards and six touchdowns on 79 attempts.
