Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) safety Christian Pierce has committed to USC, he announced Sunday afternoon on Twitter.

Pierce is the No. 610 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 55 safety and the No. 45 junior prospect in the state of California.

The 6-foot, 191-pounder chose the Trojans over finalists UCLA and Washington, as well as a handful of other offers.

I like USC a lot,” Pierce told On3’s WeAreSC earlier this spring. “I really like the coaching staff, I had a really good visit the last time in January and I think I’m visiting again in March. I like the environment, the coaches are all really cool and it’s USC. It’s kind of the hometown team and they’re up there and I like USC a lot.”

Christian Pierce is the Trojans’ sixth commitment in the 2023 class, joining a group that currently ranks No. 2 nationally in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.
