Tim Tebow on USC QB Caleb Williams: 'He does make it look easy'
Caleb Williams is above and beyond any quarterback in college football right now and it’s easy, so says Tim Tebow.
The reigning Heisman Trophy winner picked right up where he left off and could he actually look better en route to a second straight award? It’s possible.
Joining On3 for an exclusive conversation, Tebow couldn’t help but rave about Williams’ ability being some of the best we’ve ever seen.
“It’s been pretty incredible,” Tebow said of Williams. “I think he deserves so much credit. I also think we got to give a lot of credit to his receivers and Lincoln (Riley). They’re dialing it up right now and they are on fire. But man, he does make it look easy. Sometimes on a few of the throws and the plays, especially on the run, it’s not supposed to look that easy. Like nobody else in the game makes it look that easy, really.
“And you know, I also think it’s important that when we look back in recent years, Joe (Burrow’s) year was pretty incredible. And there’s been some amazing years but yeah, his dominance is ridiculous.”
In three games so far this fall, Williams has 878 yards, 12 touchdowns, zero interceptions and a 78.6% completion percentage. Absurd numbers considering he barely plays full games in USC’s three blowout wins.
When the challenges begin, all eyes, including Tebow’s, will be on Williams to see if he can keep up the pace.

“I can’t wait till they get into some of the conference play and get into some of the teams that are taking the next step because, man, it’s gonna be fun,” Tebow said. “All of the quarterbacks in the Pac-12 this year. I mean, if you’re ready to watch some good offense back and forth, that’s gonna be really exciting.
“I mean, shoot, I can’t wait till he goes back to back against Shedeur (Sanders). That’s gonna be really fun. There’s a lot of teams that are taking the next step during the Pac-12 So that’s gonna be fun for just fans of college football.”
Conference play is just heating up for USC, which just took down Stanford in the Pac-12 opener. For now, the Trojans have a week off before returning to the field.
Tebow will certainly keep an eye on Williams and USC when the Trojans head to Arizona State September 23. Heisman repeat coming for Williams? He’s on the right track to history.
