USC defensive end David Peevy enters NCAA transfer portal
USC defensive end David Peevy has entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to a report from On3’s Pete Nakos.
Peevy is a redshirt freshman who has been with the Trojans for the past two seasons. He did not have any statistical impact during the 2024 season for USC.
David Peevy, who was a communications major at USC, was considered a high-end prospect out of high school. He was a multi-sport athlete, playing basketball and running track in addition to football.
The 2023 PrepStar All-Western Region honoree recorded 31 tackles, five sacks and an interception as a senior defensive end and outside linebacker at Lincoln High School in California.
David Peevy also helped the program to its first-ever Open Division CIF-SDS Title. He also ran the 4×100-meter dash and the 4×400-meter dash as a relay runner on the track team.
As a high school prospect, Peevy was ranked as a three-star recruit and the No. 454 overall player in the 2023 recruiting class. He also checked in as the No. 41 EDGE, as well as the No. 37 overall player from the state of California in his cycle, hailing from San Diego (CA) Lincoln.
