4-star DL Carlon Jones commits to USC Trojans

Bay City (Texas) four-star defensive lineman Carlon Jones has committed to USC.

He chose the Trojans following his decommitment from Nebraska on Nov. 28.

Jones is the No. 351 overall prospect and No. 34 DL in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 55 player in Texas.

On3 ranks Jones higher than other recruiting services. He checks in as the No. 194 recruit and No. 17 defensive lineman in the latest On300.

Following his decommitment from Nebraska, Jones took December official visits to Ohio State and USC. The Buckeyes had the early momentum, but it’s Lincoln Riley, Shaun Nua and the Trojans that are coming away with the blue-chipper’s pledge.
