USC football spotlights crazy body transformations for football program ahead of 2024 fall camp
College football is right around the corner. Players across the country have been putting in the hard work all offseason to prepare for the 2024-2025 campaign. And one program that took to Twitter on Wednesday evening to show their impressive gains in the weight room, was the USC Trojans.
Miller Moss, Jo’Quavious “Woody” Marks, and Zachariah Branch, were just a few of the players that showed off their body transformations.
There’s that tweet. Then there’s a few others in the thread. The Trojans showed off 12 players in all, posting four different images of three players in each tweet. And the different gains they’ve had in the weight room.
USC players show off transformation from offseason work
USC wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane has put on 14 pounds this offseason. He saw limited time last year as a freshman, hauling in seven catches for 93 yards and two touchdowns. The Trojans will hope he can make a jump in improvement in Year Two. Lane is just one of many talented receivers in a very crowded position room in Los Angeles. Duce Robinson, Makai Lemon, Zachariah Branch, and Jay Fair all join Lane to form a rather impressive group. Lane was rated as a four-star prospect, according to the On3 Industry Rankings for the 2023 cycle. Those rankings also tabbed him as the No. 53 overall wideout in the nation for his class.

USC superstar Zachariah Branch pointed out his gains a couple of days, ago, showing off the transformation of one of college football’s most explosive players. The first photo was from January and the second was 11 days ago. In that time, Branch went from 5.8% body fat to 4.8%. Branch packages an absolutely lethal combination of speed and acceleration. He was one of the best special teams’ players in the nation as a freshman. Trojans’ fans will hope the electrifying wideout can make the jump in Year Two as a receiver.
Running back MarShawn Lloyd has moved onto the NFL and the Green Bay Packers. USC brought in dynamic all-purpose back, Jo’Quavious “Woody” Marks from the transfer portal. Marks gained eight pounds of muscle in his pictures above, looking pretty shredded in the process. He had over 200 yards receiving for three straight seasons with Mississippi State. And the past two years, Marks tallied over 500 yards in each season. He’ll be an important weapon in the backfield to take pressure off Miller Moss and the Trojans’ passing attack.
USC opens up their 2024 campaign against the LSU Tigers. That one will be played on Sunday, Sept. 1st. The game will be on at 7:30 PM EST and will be nationally televised by ABC.
