USC LB Raesjon Davis enters NCAA Transfer Portal

USC linebacker Raesjon Davis has officially entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Friday, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. Davis also announced the news on Twitter via a graphic.

“Dear USC,”

“After much prayer and thought, I have decided to enter the transfer portal as a graduate transfer. These past four years have been some of the best years of my life. I enjoyed the moments I made with everyone around me and I will cherish them forever. I would like to thank all of the staff, all of the faculty, and fans,”

“This has truly been a life changing journey and I am thankful for the person it made me today. Thank you Trojans, Fight on!”–Raesjon Davis wrote on his Twitter page.

In 2023, Davis saw action in 11 games, making four starts as a junior in 2023. He had 18 tackles, tallying 0.5 tackles for loss and one quarterback hurry. Davis finished with four tackles against Oregon. In 2022, he tallied eight tackles as a sophomore reserve inside linebacker. In 2021, Davis saw action in 10 games as a reserve inside linebacker and on special teams, but did not record a tackle.

In high school, Davis made the 2020 PrepStar Dream Team and Southern California News Group Fab 15 first team and 2021 Cal-Hi Sports State Player of the Year. He also landed MaxPreps first team All-State honors. His sophomore and junior seasons, Davis racked up over 40 tackles each year and tallied double digit tackles for loss in both the 2018 and 2019 campaigns.

Davis played at Mater Dei (Santa Ana, California), one of the nation’s powerhouse football programs. In the 2021 recruiting cycle, he was rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 77 overall player in America, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
