USC running back Quinten Joyner plans to enter Transfer Portal
USC Trojans running back Quinten Joyner plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Quinten Joyner played his high school football at Manor in Texas. There, he was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2023. He was also the 13th-ranked running back and the 193rd-ranked player overall in that recruiting cycle.
Over the course of two seasons with the USC Trojans, Quinten Joyner has appeared in 18 games and has 603 rushing yards for four touchdowns. That’s on an average of 7.4 yards per carry. He also has 13 receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown.
In 2024, Joyner averaged 7.6 yards per carry, which led the Big Ten in that category. He did that on 63 carries total and averaged 39.8 yards per game.

For his efforts, Quinten Joyner ended up being second on USC in rushing for the 2024 season. Woody Marks led the way for the Trojans with 1,133 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground. He averaged 5.7 yards per carry. Then, as a team, the Trojans were 81st in the country and 10th in the Big Ten in rushing offense with 148.67 yards per game.
As a team, it was a difficult year for USC. The Trojans finished the year by going 6-6. That was good enough to make it to the Las Vegas Bowl. For head coach Lincoln Riley in his third season with the program that was a frustrating result as he moved to 25-14 during his three seasons with the program.
Quinten Joyner has three years of eligibility remaining. He will now be looking for a new program as the Transfer Portal opened officially on December 9th for the Winter Transfer Portal Window. However, given what he flashed this past season, he’s going to be a very difficult player for the Trojans to replace going into 2025.
