WATCH: Caleb Williams connects with Kyron Hudson for touchdown, Drake London approves
There are several major quarterback battles going on during spring practice for college football. One of the most intriguing ones is going on in Los Angeles, CA, with the USC Trojans. One of the hottest names in the transfer portal was quarterback Caleb Williams who joined the Trojans this offseason. People around the NCAA believe that the starting quarterback position is Williams to lose. And the talented sophomore quarterback has been proving those people correct with dimes like this.
During practice on Saturday, Williams connected with Kyron Hudson for a touchdown to the approval of former Trojan Drake London.
The Trojans made a big splash this offseason when they hired former Oklahoma Sooners head coach Lincoln Riley to take over the program. Riley turned around and convinced Williams to join him at USC. So far, during the spring practices, it appears that not only did the Trojans athletic department make the right decision in hiring Riley, but the coach instantly rewarded them when he convinced Williams to join him. And with passes like this, it won’t be just the sun that is shining bright next season when the Trojans take the field.
Korey Foreman on changes, joys of working with new staff at USC
Defensive end Korey Foreman came to USC as a highly-touted recruit and former five-star recruit according to the On3’s Consensus. The defensive lineman finished with 11 total tackles and 2.5 sacks for the Trojans in his first season under the previous staff.
As Lincoln Riley and his new staff come to USC and bring along a new way of doing things, Korey Foreman addressed the changes he sees at practice and how he feels about the new staff.

“It’s a blessing,” said Foreman. “This staff is amazing. Just working with coach Manning every single day, I learn something new every single day. With that, just being putting my hands on an o-lineman before he can or just little things like being able to break him down. It’s a blessing to be between these walls and in these meetings.”
With the massive shift, starting with a mid-season firing and interim coach for most of the season, USC’s last season featured many twists and turns before Lincoln Riley shocked the college football world by joining the Trojans. The rollercoaster of events has led Foreman to view the upcoming year differently.
“I told them it was kind of like a whole new freshman year again,” said Foreman. “But it’s just something that comes with college football. You’ve just got to start over every – like I said, the world doesn’t move for anybody – so you’ve just got to learn to adapt in any little situation. And that’s what’s going to make or break you going into the next one.”
