WATCH: Caleb Williams, Jordan Addison connect for first USC touchdown

If you’re USC, you could not ask for a better start to the Lincoln Riley era. Especially after hitting the transfer portal hard this offseason, the Trojans have seen the dividends pay off in the first drive of the 2022 series.
Deep inside the red zone, USC was facing a third down and three. They were able to score a touchdown and it came from a duo we should get used to seeing. Former Oklahoma quarterback Caleb Williams was able to connect with former Pitt wide receiver Jordan Addison.

Both players played elsewhere last season, with Williams following his head coach from Norman. Addison was possibly the biggest transfer portal shock of the season, leaving Pittsburgh after his breakout season. Both Pitt’s offensive coordinator and wide receiver coach left, meaning Addison was up for a new challenge.
Now, Addison and Williams will be wanting to bring USC back to the top of the Pac-12 and possibly the national conversation this season. While it might only be a Week 1 game against Rice, it’s early success in Los Angeles.
