Despite their loss in the Pac-12 Championship Game, USC is still keeping the faith for Caleb Williams to win the Heisman Trophy.

The College Football Playoff may be a long-shot with two losses on the season, but the Trojans took to Twitter to campaign for their star quarterback to get some hardware. Check out the tweet below, where USC prefaced a photo containing some impressive stats with a beautiful soliloquy.

Throughout the season, there wasnโ€™t anybody who separated themselves from the pack enough in the Heisman Trophy race, and Williams turned it on throughout the season. While he couldโ€™ve clinched the honor with a victory in the Pac-12 Championship Game, itโ€™s still tough to find anyone who had a better season than Williams.

During his first season at USC, Williams passed for 4,075 passing yards, 37 passing touchdowns, an 86.4 quarterback rating and only threw four interceptions. Additionally, he was dangerous with his legs as well, adding 372 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns to the stat sheet.

Unfortunately, the Utah Utes were the Trojansโ€™ kryptonite in 2022, as both of USCโ€™s losses came against their Pac-12 rival. If not for those two let-down performances by the team, itโ€™s likely we wouldโ€™ve been able to see Williams on the biggest stage in the sport during the College Football Playoff.

Despite that, Williams still has as strong of a case as anyone for the Heisman Trophy, especially with the wheels falling off for contenders like Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker and Ohio State signal caller CJ Stroud. The former suffered a season ending knee injury, while the latter didnโ€™t perform to his caliber of abilities during the final weeks of the season.

Alas, itโ€™s all led to Caleb Williams being the odds-on favorite for the Heisman Trophy, and itโ€™s tough to argue with that. Heโ€™s a superstar, and heโ€™s far from done with the Trojans moving forward.
