WATCH: USC drops hype video ahead of Super Bowl 56 in Los Angeles
USC is taking full advantage of the Super Bowl taking place in Los Angeles this season. Ahead of the huge game, the Trojans took to Twitter to welcome the NFL world to their backyard for Super Bowl 56.
“This is Los Angeles. Home of the first Super Bowl,” started the narrator. “The USC Trojans have over 67 Super Bowl champions. The most in college football. 87% of the Super Bowls have featured a former Trojan. Los Angeles ranks No. 3 in overall Super Bowl hostings. Beach lifestyle, palm trees and sunshine. Some of the biggest stars in music and Hollywood call Los Angeles home. The halftime experience will feature our hometown heroes.
“This is Los Angeles. Home to SoFi Stadium. This is home. This is USC.”
While Super Bowl 56 should be a tremendous game, it’s also a fantastic opportunity for USC. Anyone watching the game at home can see the beauty of Los Angeles, and the opportunity presenting itself with the Trojans. With the scenery, stadium and halftime show fitting the narrative, the City of Angels will be well represented on Sunday.
Things are looking up for USC. Some great publicity via the biggest game of the year won’t hurt the Trojans, either.
More on USC Trojans
The resurgence of the USC Trojans has been well documented this off-season. First, the Pac-12 power was able to bring Lincoln Riley to town from Norman, Oklahoma. Then, Riley was able to convince star quarterback Caleb Williams to join him via transfer.
In explaining his decision to join the Trojans, Williams stated he wants to bring USC back to their glory.

“I want USC to be back to what USC was,” said Williams. “I want USC to be back to the old USC that everyone thinks of.
“It’s been a rough couple of years, but we’ve got the right coaches and players in place. The guys want to win. We’re going to bring some other guys in that are going to be impact players for us.”
After throwing for 1,912 yards, 21 touchdowns and four interceptions and rushing for 442 yards and six more scores in his only season at Oklahoma, Williams is now gearing up for his first year at USC. The show is scheduled to begin on Saturday, Sept. 3 against Rice at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
Until then, Super Bowl 56 will have to do. Caleb Williams will have eyes on the game, with aspirations of winning championships in the future for Los Angeles.
