PREVIEW: USF having massive recruiting weekend with National Signing Day around the corner
National Signing Day is less than two weeks away, with the recruiting calendar shifting to have a Dec. 4 day where prospects become official with the school they’re committed to, rather than it taking place two weeks later like has been the case the past several years.
And the South Florida Bulls have a lot of work left to do, with this weekend being the staff’s last big recruiting before signing day. It’s a crucial event.
The Bulls will have a few official visitors on campus for this weekend in which they battle Tulsa, including one prospect who is already committed to USF. That would be Kennesaw (Ga.) Harrison outside linebacker Christian Smith, who committed to USF Nov. 14.
Venice (Fla.) High defensive lineman Eli Jones, Riverview (Fla.) Sumner safety Jeremiah Jones (no relation), Apopka (Fla.) Wekiva safety Jabari Smith, Powder Springs (Ga.) Harrison offensive lineman Colin Bellomy, Lake Butler (Fla.) Union County cornerback Gavin Jenkins and Lakeland (Fla.) High safety Jermichael Gillis are the other USF commits expected in Tampa to watch the game against the Golden Hurricane.
Official visitors due in for USF
USF hosted Valdosta (Ga.) High defensive lineman Marcus Williams a couple weeks ago for the Navy game, and he’s back in Tampa this weekend for the 48-hour, all-expenses paid official visit. On3 logged a prediction for the Bulls to eventually end up with the 6-3, 285-pounder. If all goes well this weekend, keep a close eye on USF for Williams, who also has Kennesaw State, Georgia State, UAB on others on his offer sheet, to end up with the Bulls.
The Bulls are hosting the nation’s No. 1 junior college running back this weekend. USF offered Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College’s Waymond Jordan, who ranks as the No. 28 overall JuCo prospect according to the On3 Industry Ranking, and quickly worked to set up this visit. He’s seen his recruitment continue to blow up since, adding Missouri, UNLV and UCF to his offer sheet in the past week.
USF extended an offer Nov. 6 to Thomaston (Ga.) Upson-Lee cornerback Akeondre Chaney, a former Georgia State commit and three-star prospect. He’s a fast-rising player, as Oregon State and Michigan State have offered him this month as well. The Spartans joined his offer sheet Thursday. The Bulls’ staff would be over the moon to add Chaney and are looking to impress him this weekend.

Additional recruits in Tampa for Bulls’ home game
Tampa (Fla.) Gatiher three-star cornerback and West Virginia class of 2025 commit Serious Stinyard is expected to make the short trip to Raymond James Stadium. He’s a longtime USF target as the staff offered him back in February, but he’s been committed to the Mountaineers since the summer.
Fort Myers (Fla.) Lehigh’s James Little is another 2025 cornerback visiting Tampa, and he has USF on his offer list. We’ll see where things go from here between the two parties. The same goes with Jacksonville (Fla.) Fletcher class of 2025 offensive lineman Takaylen Muex.
Miami Central class of 2026 cornerback Herlin Perry is visiting USF this weekend for a multi-day trip, and his recruitment is an intriguing one to follow. The 6-1, 170-pounder is one to watch.
The expectation is that four-star class of 2026 athlete Ryan Mosley out of Carrolton (Ga.) High will visit Saturday. Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and Auburn are among his scholarship offers.
Orlando (Fla.) Evans running back Li’Darious Pryor, Clearwater (Fla.) High safety Kentrail McRae, Riverview (Fla.) Spoto receiver Jesse Harden, Miami Central running back Jayden Ford and Boca Raton (Fla.) West Boca Raton EDGE Demetrius Geathers are among the 2026 recruits who are supposed to be in Raymond James Saturday.
