On his first visit to Utah, Snoqualmie (Wash.) Mount Si offensive tackle Heath Ozaeta picked up an offer from the Utes.

The 6-foot-5, 265-pound junior checks in at No. 285 in the On300 rankings, and the new offer was presented by offensive line coach Jim Harding before the Utes beat Colorado 28-13.

Utah is now on Ozaeta’s radar.

“Utah is definitely high on the list,” Ozaeta told On3 after the visit. “I had a really good time at the visit and liked all of the coaches. I’m definitely very interested.”

The offer stood out most to Ozaeta, but there was more on the visit to Salt Lake City that caught his attention.

“The best part was definitely getting the offer, but besides that, I really enjoyed my tour and seeing all the facilities and the dorms.

“I also loved watching the game. They have a great fan base there. It was Thanksgiving so a lot of people were out of town, but they still packed the stands.”

The win Saturday pushed Utah’s record to 9-3 and it will play next week for the Conference Championship. The way the Utes continue to play under head coach Kyle Whittingham stands out to Ozaeta.

“I really like the facts that they are winning and that they’ve been winning for a while,” Ozaeta said. “I also like how the coaching staff isn’t going anywhere and their facilities are nice too.”

Ozaeta also has offers from California, Nevada, and Stanford.
