3-star 2023 TE C.J. Jacobsen commits to Utah
Meridian (Idaho) Rocky Mountain three-star tight end C.J. Jacobsen has committed to Utah, he announced Thursday afternoon on social media.
He chose the Utes over fellow finalists Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, Louisville, and NC State.
Jacobsen is the No. 1109 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 61 tight end the No. 2 senior recruit in the state of Idaho.
On3 is higher on Jacobsen than other recruiting services, per the Industry Comparison. In the most recent recent On3 ranking release, he was tabbed as the nation’s No. 42 tight end.

He is the Utes 15th commitment in the 2023 cycle, joining a group headlined by four-star safety Randon Fonetenette and On300 running back Michael Mitchell.
