4-star LB Lander Barton stays home, commits to Utah
Lander Barton is staying home.
The Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton four-star linebacker has committed to Utah, according to his sister’s Instagram.
Lander Barton’s sister Dani Drews, an All-American volleyball player for the Utes, posted Bartons commitment in an Instagram post.
The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – has Barton as a four-star prospect and the No. 192 overall recruit in the country. The 2022 On300 ranks him slightly higher at No. 177.
Utah was considered the favorite for Lander Barton, who has many ties to the school.
His parents were both two-sport athletes for Utah with his father playing football and baseball and his mother played basketball and volleyball. His older brothers, Jackson and Cody, both played for the Utes before moving on to the NFL. Cody Barton plays for the Seattle Seahawks and Jackson Barton plays for the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Utes were the 61st recruiting class in the country in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking before Barton’s commitment.
