Carson Tabaracci staying home to play for the Utah Utes
Carson Tabaracci is staying home.
Carson Tabaracci, an On3 Consensus three-star prospect from Park City (Utah) High, announced his commitment to Utah. Tabaracci, who is 6-foot-1 and 221 pounds, shared news of his commitment on his Instagram account.
The post on Friday morning shows Tabaracci in a white and red Utah uniform, holding a Utes’ helmet. It simply has the caption of “homegrown.”
Carson Tabaracci is a hot target with recruiters. He was originally scheduled to visit Ohio State this weekend. But he told the Buckeyes on Monday he was no longer going to visit. The cancelation signaled a commitment was coming soon.
Notre Dame also got an official visit from Carson Tabaracci in mid-October. UCLA and USC also hosted him a number of times for unofficial visits.
That being said, Tabaracci also visited Utah officially in mid-October. In the end, the opportunity to play for his home state school was too much to pass up.

Carson Tabaracci improves Utah’s class
Carson Tabaracci becomes Utah’s ninth known commitment for the 2022 recruiting class. He joins coveted four-star linebacker, Lander Barton of Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton, as important in-state commitments for the Utes.
Utah has the No. 51 class in the country, according to the On3 Consensus Football Team Recruiting Rank. The Utes have two four-star commits and six three-star pledges.
Four-star athlete Nate Johnson of Clovis, Calif, is another elite prospect committed to Utah in the 2022 class.
Utah using big game for big visit weekend
Oregon heads to Utah for what should be one of the biggest games of the weekend and Pac-12 division titles on the line. The Utes plan on using the game as a massive recruiting weekend with around nine official visitors expected. However, sources in Salt Lake told On3 they’re hoping to keep some of the official visit names under the radar. That’s largely because they are committed to other schools.
