Utah 4-star QB commit Isaac Wilson excited to continue his football journey at the Elite 11 Finals
Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon four-star quarterback Isaac Wilson was on vacation with his family when he received the final invitation to the Elite 11 Finals. Wilson’s father got the call and quickly shared the news with Isaac and his family in a heartwarming experience for the Wilsons.
The Utah commit is looking forward to showcasing his skills against 19 of the country’s best signal-callers in California. He also hopes to demonstrate his leadership, learn from the Elite 11’s coaches and get a better understanding of the mindset needed to succeed in college football.
“These quarterbacks are chosen to compete,” Wilson told On3. “They’re the top dogs too, from every other state. They’re chosen for a reason. I was chosen for a reason. We’re all going to go in there, show who’s the top dog and there’s no right or wrong in this camp. We’re all different in our own ways, but in the end, there’s only going to be one MVP. I’m going to shoot to be that and I can’t wait to compete.”
Wilson is well aware of what participating in the Elite 11 Finals means. He has watched previous Elite 11s that featured names such as Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields and fellow Corner Canyon alum Devin Brown.
“I’ve always known it as one of the top quarterback camps in the nation,” said Wilson, the No. 330 overall prospect and No. 18 quarterback in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking. “It’s always been a journey for me to try and get there.”
Utah provides the ‘perfect opportunity’ for Wilson
Wilson, who chose Utah on May 24, is currently the highest-ranked prospect in the Utes’ 2024 recruiting class. He pledged to head coach Kyle Whittingham and his staff after taking an official visit to Salt Lake City on the weekend of April 22.

In the past two seasons, Utah has won back-to-back Pac-12 Championships and made consecutive Rose Bowl appearances. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound signal-caller is feeling good about his future under Whittingham and offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Andy Ludwig.
“I felt it in my gut, my head, my mind and my heart and I knew they were the school for me,” Wilson said. “I love Coach Ludwig and Coach Whittingham. They’re great guys. It was a perfect opportunity for me. Then, we got the check off from Zach. He got to come over and check out the offense.”
Wilson, the brother of New York Jets and former BYU quarterback Zach Wilson, is excited to play in front of his friends and family at Rice-Eccles Stadium. The four-star will also continue the Wilson legacy at Utah, as his dad previously played for the Utes as a defensive lineman.
“There’s only one way to go, to the championship,” Wilson said. “That’s all they can do there. They’re one of the best programs.”
