Pflugerville (Texas) tight end Sidney Mbanasor has committed to Utah.

While he is listed as a tight end in the On3 Database, Mbanasor committed to the Utes as a wideout.

Mbanasor is the fifth player to commit to the Utes in the month of December following Salt Lake City Brighton offensive tackle Tyler Knaak, Salt Lake City Olympus tight end Anthony Olsen, Bethany (Okla.) three-star cornerback Jocelyn Malaska and Auburndale (Fla.) three-star safety Elijah Davis.

The Utes now have 13 commits in their class, led by Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton four-star linebacker Lander Barton and Clovis (Calif.) four-star quarterback Nate Johnson.

Barton is the No. 199 overall player in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
