4-star SF Jaxon Johnson commits to Utah

Jaxon Johnson, a four-star small forward in the class of 2024, has committed to Utah.
The 6-foot-8, 190-pound senior out of Sandy (Utah) Alta chose to play for Craig Smith and the Utes over a final group of Stanford, USC, and BYU.
Despite being a 2024 prospect, Johnson, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will not enroll in college until the fall of 2026 as he will serve a two-year mission.
“The coaching staff is amazing,” Johnson said as to why he chose Utah. “Coach Smith is an amazing coach and his past proves it. I love the brand of basketball they play.”

“A versatile player that can stretch the floor and knock down shots. Can play inside and out. I make the right basketball play instead of forcing shots or passes.”
He has a message for Utah fans.
“Go Utes baby! I’m excited to give everything I got when I step on the court but I’m also excited to give everything I got to the community and fan base!”
