Utah offers 2024 top-100 OT Brandon Baker

2024 Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star offensive tackle Brandon Baker received an offer from Utah on Sunday. He announced the news on social media.

Baker is the No. 98 overall prospect and No. 6 offensive tackle in the 2024 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 10 player in California.

On3 rates Baker higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, Baker is the No. 95 overall prospect, No. 8 offensive tackle and No. 6 player in California.

The 6-foot-4.5, 285 pound prospect has received 17 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, USC is leading for Baker’s commitment at 59%.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

The Utes’ 2024 recruiting class currently has one commitment in Orange (Calif.) three-star wide receiver Kobe Boykin. Meanwhile, Utah’s 2023 class contains 13 commitments and ranks No. 37 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 5 in the Pac-12.

Baker has an On3 NIL Valuation of $59K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
