Jackson (Ala.) quarterback Walter Taylor has committed to Vanderbilt, he announced Sunday on Twitter.

Taylor is unranked by the On3 Consensus, but On3 ranks him as three-star prospect, the No. 54 quarterback nationally and the No. 30 prospect in Alabama in the 2022 cycle.

The 6-foot-5, 210-pounder chose the Commodores over offers from Tennessee-Martin, McNeese State, Nicholls State, Northern Illinois and others.

Taylor led Jackson to the Class 4A state semifinals this year and was named Class 4A Back of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association.
