2024 4-star CB Jon Mitchell offered by Vanderbilt

2024 Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin four-star cornerback Jon Mitchell received an offer from Vanderbilt on Wednesday night. He announced the news on social media.

Mitchell is not ranked in the 2024 On3 Consensus. However, On3 ranks him higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, Mitchell is the No. 193 overall prospect, No. 24 cornerback and No. 34 player in Florida.

A 6-foot-0, 170 pound prospect, Mitchell currently has nine offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Northwestern has a commanding lead for his commitment at 67.2%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. 

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Vanderbilt currently has no commitments in its 2024 recruiting class. Meanwhile, the Commodores’ 2023 recruiting class is No. 48 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 13 in the SEC. The group contains 15 prospects and is led by Rome (Ga.) four-star cornerback Martel Hight, the No. 232 overall prospect in the 2023 On300.

Mitchell has an On3 NIL Valuation of $5.8K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
