Class of 2023 three-star combo guard Isaiah West has committed to Vanderbilt, he told On3.
The 6-foot-2, 170-pound recruit attends Goodpasture Christian School, located roughly 30-minutes from Nashville and Vanderbilt’s campus. Along with the Commodores, West received scholarship offers from Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, and others. West becomes Vandy’s first commitment to the 2023 class.
He ranks as the No. 122 overall prospect in the class of 2023, according to the On3 Consensus — a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

West also spoke about Vandy’s program in a previous interview with On3.
“I’ve toured the campus plenty of times,” he says. “I’ve seen the campus and saw the new stuff they just put in, and even the stuff they’re going to put in in the future.
“They have a really good staff and they have a lot of good stuff going for them right now. They’ve got a really good 2022 class coming in, and they’d really love for me to be a part of that class, or come the year I’m scheduled to. I would say, honestly, I’m probably the closest with them, that staff, out of anybody. They’d love to keep an in-state guy, in-state.”
