Vanderbilt DL Devin Lee plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Lee shared his intentions to enter his name in the portal with On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Friday.

Lee spent the past four seasons with the Commodores. Now, upon his official entry, he will have one year of collegiate eligibility left to use wherever he eventually commits too.

Lee appeared in 32 games on the defensive line, including seven starts, while at Vandy. In that career in Nashville, he posted 35 tackles, 5.5 for loss, with a pair of sacks and a deflection.

Lee had his best seasons overall as a sophomore and junior with 28 tackles combined along with all of his ones for loss and sack in his 21 games, 10 of which were starts. However, he played in just four games this fall while totaling only one tackle on the year.

Lee, a native of McDonough, Georgia, played high school football at Ola. He was the No. 735 overall recruit there as a three-star prospect in the 2021 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also rated as a Top-75 DL in the class and a Top-75 player from out of the state. That made him the third highest-rated signee in that class for Vanderbilt.

Lee is another player who now plans to transfer for Vandy, with no one officially in yet, ahead out of portal’s opening on Monday.
