Vanderbilt infielder Jayden Davis enters NCAA Transfer Portal

Vanderbilt infielder Jayden Davis has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. He joined the program ahead of the 2024 season, following spending his freshman season with Samford.
Davis starred with the Bulldogs in 2023, hitting .358 and accounting for a team-high 26 multi-hit games. That helped garner him 2023 All-SoCon first team honors, along with being named to the 2023 Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-America and receiving the 2023 SoCon Media Freshman of the Year Award.

He was more than solid during his first season with the Commodores in 2024, batting .315 and driving in 36 runs. However, 2025 was a bit of a struggle for him. He hit .203 in his 64 at-bats. That’s a number he’ll certainly hope is an outlier at his next stop.
Regardless, Davis is now the latest loss for the program to the transfer portal. OF Koby Kropf (Winthrop) as well as Matthew Polk, RJ Hamilton, and Ethan McElvain have also entered in their names. That’s following the disappointing end to their season over this past weekend as the Commodores, the No. 1 overall seed in the 2025 NCAA Baseball Tournament, would lose the Nashville Regional.
