Atlanta (Ga.) Riverwood three-star recruit Karris Bilal tells On3 he’s committed to Vanderbilt.

Bilal, a 6-foot-2 class of 2024 point guard, chose the Commodores over offers from Xavier and Georgia State. He is Vanderbilt’s first commitment to the 2024 class, although three players have committed in the 2023 class — Isaiah West, Carter Lang, and JaQualon Roberts.

Bilal on his commitment to Vanderbilt

“I chose Vandy for many reasons, including its high academics and Vandy competing in an extremely competitive SEC conference,” Bilal said to On3. “But the primary reason I chose Vandy was because of the close relationship that Coach (Jerry) Stackhouse developed with my family and me. As well as Coach Stackhouse’s vision for my development as a player and how my skills and talent complement Vandy’s style of play.”
