Vanderbilt offers 2024 4-star S Brandon Jacob

Orlando (Fla.) Evans four-star safety Brandon Jacob received an offer from Vanderbilt on Wednesday night. He announced the news over social media.

Jacob is the No. 304 overall prospect and No. 24 safety in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 43 player in Florida.

On3 rates Jacob higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, Jacob is the No. 224 overall prospect, No. 20 safety and No. 26 player in Florida.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound defensive back has received 18 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, UCF is leading for his commitment at 43.5%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

The Commodores have no commitments in their 2024 recruiting class. Meanwhile, Vanderbilt’s 2023 class is No. 54 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No 14 in the SEC.

The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
