Vanderbilt selling pieces of goalpost, auctioning memorabilia from Alabama upset
If you want to own a piece of Vanderbilt’s historic victory over No. 1 Alabama, you can bid on pieces of the goal post that was torn down after the game!
There are other items available for sale at this auction. That includes bigger and smaller pieces of the goal post which already sold out, a game helmet, game pylons and more!
We didn’t forget to mention actual footballs from the game too! What Vanderbilt fans do with these items remain to be seen, but they’re up for auction.
You can see the full list of items HERE.
The win over Alabama has the entire Vanderbilt fan base rolling right now. The team is 3-2, but there’s a new found sense of optimism under Clark Lea.
Whether it’s the head coach is finally hitting all of the right buttons, the Jerry Kill influence or Diego Pavia’s immaculate swagger, everything’s coming up Vandy.
In fact, the QB wasn’t shy about what he and his teammates want. Just a shot a college football’s biggest prize of course!

“I love Vandy,” Pavia said postgame. “This is what I came here for. Came here to win big football games. Our ultimate goal is to go to the College Football Playoff, and so we want a chance at the national championship. Just how everyone else does. This is just a step in the way, and we just got to keep getting better. There’s still little mistakes out there that we got to clean up. But you know, any given Saturday, anything’s possible.”
This is the same team that lost to Georgia State and Missouri. It’s not a knock entirely, but it’s needed to put Pavia’s statement into perspective.
Essentially, Vanderbilt would have to win out, finish 10-2 and play for the SEC Championship in order to get to the CFP. But beating Alabama gave him and the team a new found confidence.
Coming up is Kentucky, Ball State, Texas, Auburn, South Carolina, LSU and Tennessee.
That’s not an easy task at all! But don’t tell Pavia.
