CB Jordan Robinson has signed with Virginia in the NCAA Transfer Portal. That news comes per reporting by On3’s Pete Nakos on Friday.

Robinson just finished his third season in Division I with his second program at Cincinnati. He spent the two years prior, with one being a redshirt one, at Kentucky. That’s after first being a transfer from Livingstone College, an HBCU in Division II.

Over the last two years, with 25 appearances total during the past three, for the Bearcats and Wildcats, Robinson has posted 31 tackles, three being for loss, with three pass deflections, and a forced fumble plus a fumble recovery. That includes 18 tackles, a pair for loss, with a deflection, his forced fumble, and his recovery this past season on defense for Cincy.

Robinson is the first addition in the spring cycle for the Cavaliers. He will come to Charlottesville and join the 19 transfers that Virginia added back during the previous cycle in the winter.

Virginia has since lost 17 players to the portal back during that last cycle in December. Only seven of those, though, have since committed elsewhere. UVA then has only lost one other name during this current cycle with OT Blake Steen.

More on transfer entry into portal by Robinson

The spring transfer portal window didn’t officially open until Wednesday, April 16th, but player movement occurred earlier than that for graduates. Among them was CB Jordan Robinson, who entered the transfer portal for the third time in his career on April 10th.

Robinson, The Columbia (S.C.) Bylthewood product, spent the 2024 season in the Big 12 playing for Cincinnati. The cornerback played in 10 games for the Bearcats, logging 228 defensive snaps. Robinson allowed just 42 receiving yards on 14 targets, according to data from PFF data.

Robinson spent his true freshman season in 2021 playing for Livingstone College. He entered the transfer portal then and committed to Appalachian State before flipping to Kentucky. Robinson then redshirted in 2022 before playing 11 games for the Wildcats in 2023. He then decided to enter the transfer portal after the season and made the short drive from Lexington up to Cincinnati.
