S Trent Baker-Booker commits to Virginia
Indianapolis (Ind.) Lawrence Central safety Trent Baker-Booker committed to Virginia on Saturday night. He announced the news over social media.
Baker-Booker is not ranked in the 2023 On3 Consensus or the 2023 On300. He is 6-foot-2 and weighs 180 pounds.
The Indiana native is now the 12th member of the Cavaliers’ 2023 recruiting class. Virginia’s group is composed of 11 three-stars and one unranked prospect.
Baker-Booker is the first safety in the Cavaliers’ class. There is one other defensive back, however, in Denver (N.C.) East Lincoln three-star cornerback Keandre Walker.

Virginia’s class is currently No. 68 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 13 in the ACC. The Cavaliers have one top-500 prospect in Tappahannock (Va.) Essex three-star linebacker Kamren Robinson, the No. 488 overall recruit in the On3 Consensus.
Baker-Booker is Virginia’s first commit since Aug. 16. That day, Norfolk (Va.) Lake Taylor three-star offensive tackle Anthony Britton chose head coach Tony Elliott and his staff.
Baker-Booker has an On3 NIL Valuation of $5.8K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
