American Fork (Utah) Lone Peak offensive lineman Joe Brown has decommitted from Virginia, he announced Thursday on Twitter.

Brown is the No. 909 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 71 interior offensive lineman and the No. 13 prospect in Utah.

“First off I’d like to thank the staff at Virginia and especially Coach Tujague and Coach Mendenhall for the opportunity they gave to me!” Brown wrote. “But with many conversations with my family and with the lord I have decided to decommit from Virginia and reopen my recruitment.”
