2025 WR Josiah Abdullah commits to Virginia
Atlanta Woodward Academy three-star wide receiver Josiah Abdullah has committed to Virginia, he announced on Friday evening.
He chose the Cavaliers following his decommitment from Florida in June.
Abdullah is the No. 530 overall prospect and No. 84 wideout in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 58 player in Georgia.
The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder becomes the top-ranked commit in the Hoos’ 2025 class. Commitment No. 18 overall, Abdullah is the third wideout to join the pledge list for Tony Elliot and Co. this cycle, joining Richmond (Va.) Trinity Episcopal three-star Isaiah Robinson and Chesterfield (Va.) Matoaca three-star Dillon Newton-Short.
UVA adds Peach State standout to 2025 class
The addition of Abdullah is a big get for the Cavaliers’ class — which ranks just No. 55 in the nation and No. 13 in the ACC, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
