3-star EDGE Jimmy Mullen commits to Virginia Tech
Montvale (N.J.) St Joseph Regional three-star EDGE Jimmy Mullen committed to Virginia Tech on Saturday. He plans to participate in football and wrestling while with the Hokies.
Mullen is the No. 1,813 overall prospect and No. 126 EDGE in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 37 player in New Jersey.
On3 rates Mullen higher than other rerouting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2023 On300, Mullen is the No. 117 EDGE and No. 32 player in New Jersey.
The 6-foot-1, 255 pound prospect is the 20th member of Virginia Tech’s 2023 recruiting class. He is the third EDGE in the Hokies’ group alongside Mississauga (Ontario) Clarkson Football North three-star Ishmael Findlayter and Richmond (Va.) Freeman three-star Jason Abbey.
