Bowling Green RB Terion Stewart signs with Virginia Tech from the portal
RB Terion Stewart has signed with Virginia Tech out of the NCAA Transfer Portal per On3’s Pete Nakos.
Stewart has spent the past four of the past five years at Bowling Green. He wasn’t enrolled for one season but made 32 appearances for the Falcons over the four others as their leading rusher in each of those falls.
In total, Stewart posted 392 carries for 2,359 yards and 23 touchdowns. That’s good for an average of 73.7 yards a game and six yards per carry. He had his most scores as a sophomore last year with eight and went on to have a career-best season as a junior this year with 160 touches for 890 yards and six more touchdowns.

Per the latest in On3’s Top Transfer Portal Players, Stewart is the No. 10 RB and the No. 168 overall transfer.
Stewart is now the second addition out of the transfer portal during this cycle for the Hokies. They also got a commitment from DB Sherrod Covil (Clemson) earlier this week.
This comes after VT lost 19 players of their own to the portal. Five of them have already committed elsewhere with each going to the SEC in OT Xavier Chaplin (Auburn), CB Mansoor Delane (LSU), WR Chance Fitzgerald and DL Gunner Givens (Vanderbilt), and DB Mose Phillips (Missouri). Eight of those in total are then from their offense with one being their third-leading rusher the past two seasons in RB Malachi Thomas. They’ll also be losing RB Bhayshul Tuten, their leading rusher the last two year after transferring himself in from North Carolina A&T, with him out of collegiate eligibility.
