Four-star wide receiver Keylen Adams of Virginia Beach (VA) Green Run High announced his commitment to Virginia Tech Thursday afternoon.

The 6-foot-2, 185 pounder chose the Hokies over South Carolina, Alabama, and Ohio State.

Adams on why he chose Virginia Tech

“Coach Pry is a family man. That’s really important to me because for a lot of athletes going to college. It’s their first time being away from home and the rest of them having a family vibe really made things easy and feel more like home.”

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for him

“Coach (Fontel) Mines for sure. He and coach Bowen plan on getting me the ball early so I can get used to the college level. Then after that become the leading wide receiver in the ACC.”

Adams ranks as the No. 183 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 30 wide receiver and the No. 4 player in the state of Virginia.

On3 ranks him higher than the industry, as he ranks as the No. 161 player nationally, the No. 31 wide receiver, and the No. 2 player in Virginia.

The Hokie State wide receiver joins coach Brent Pry and the Hokies’ top 30 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star linebacker Gabriel Wiliams, four-star cornerback Marcellus Barnes, and others.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $79K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
