JUCO 3-star EDGE James Jennette commits to Virginia Tech
Santa Clarita (Calif.) College of the Canyons three-star EDGE James Jennette announced his commitment to Virginia Tech on National Signing Day. He signed with the Hokies shortly after.
Jennette is the No. 11 overall prospect and No. 1 EDGE in the 2023 Junior College On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in California.

The 6-foot-5, 225-pound pass rusher is one of three EDGE recruits in Virginia Tech’s 2023 recruiting class. Mississauga (Canada) Clarkson Football North three-star Ishmael Findlayter and Richmond (Va.) Freeman three-star Jason Abbey are the others. On3 rates Abbey as a four-star recruit and the No. 229 overall prospect in the country in the 2023 On300.
Virginia Tech’s 2023 class currently contains 27 pledges and ranks No. 40 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. The Hokies’ group is also No. 7 in the ACC.
