4-star ATH Matthew Outten commits to Virginia Tech
Portsmouth (Va.) I.C. Norcom four-star athlete Matthew Outten has committed to Virginia Tech, he announced on Monday.
He chose the Hokies over Maryland, Penn State and Syracuse.
Outten is the No. 399 overall prospect and No. 17 ATH in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 13 player in Virginia.
The 6-foot-0.5 playmaker rounded out his official visit schedule with a return trip to Blacksburg on June 21. Outten now joins a rising 2025 pledge list for Brent Pry and Co. that added eight commitments last month.
