Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry provided injury updates on several players on Tuesday ahead of Saturday’s game against Clemson, including quarterbacks Kyron Drones and Collin Schlee.

Drones missed Saturday’s game against Syracuse with an injury, as did star running back Bhayshul Tuten. Schlee was banged up on the final play of the game.

Pry was asked about Kyron Drones and Bhayshul Tuten to open his press conference.

“Yea, they’re both questionable right now,” he said. “They’re obviously better than they were. Kyron, better than he was last week at this time. Bhayshul probably yet to be determined. Today we find out a lot. Hopefully by the end of tomorrow we feel good about both of those guys.”

As for Collin Schlee, it sounds as if he should be good to go if Drones is unable to start. Schlee completed 16-24 passes for 206 yards and a touchdown for Virginia Tech against Syracuse. He also rushed for 54 yards and a score.

“Yea, I think he’s good to go,” Brent Pry said. “He’s cleared to practice today. He’s a little sore… but he’s a tough guy. He’s cleared to practice.”

Finally, Pry provided an update on Virginia Tech cornerback Mansoor Delane, who was injured late in the game against Syracuse.

“Yea, he’s questionable. He’s questionable,” Pry said.

Delane is an excellent DB for the Hokies. He has 41 tackles, 3 interceptions and 5 pass breakups on the year.

Virginia Tech is facing Clemson in an important ACC matchup on Saturday.
