2022 four-star small forward Bobi Klintman announces commitment to Wake Forest
Head coach Steve Forbes and Wake Forest secured a major player in their 2022 recruiting class on Friday night. Small forward Bobi Klintman announced his commitment to the program, with the Wichita, Kansas, native picking the Demon Deacons over Seton Hall.
Klintman has been through it all during his recruitment. Originally committed to Maryland, after Mark Turgeon was fired, he decided to decommit and continue to find where he wanted to play college basketball. Colorado was where Klitman made his second commitment before changing his mind once again in early May.
“Due to certain events that have transpired, I will no longer be attending the University of Colorado,” Klintman said in a statement to On3’s Joe Tipton. “I had every intention of becoming a student-athlete at Colorado but unfortunately, that is no longer an option. With that being said, I am now reopening my recruitment. I look forward to finding a new place to call home!”
From there, Klitman named a final two of Seton Hall and Wake Forest and scheduled an official visit to the latter. In the end, being on campus in Winston-Salem ended up being enough for Forbes to win out.
Klintman is ranked a four-star prospect by the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting services. He ranks No. 108 nationally and No. 5 in the state of Kansas. Coming out of Sunrise Christian High School, Klintman was the No. 28 small forward in the 2022 recruiting class.

Klintman was one of the top-rated recruits still left on the board, with only two being ranked higher on the On3 Consensus. After spending a few months trying to find a home at the next level, one of the nation’s best is locked in with Wake Forest.
Adding Klintman to the class makes the second top-125 recruit Forbes has added. Four-star power forward Zach Keller has signed his national letter of intent and is ranked at No. 121 in the country. It’s been since the 2018 recruiting class since Wake Forest has been able to accomplish the same feat.
In addition to recruiting, Wake Forest has rehauled their roster for the 2022-2023 season through the transfer portal. Davion Bradford is the top name from Kansas State, and Tyree Appleby comes from Florida in the SEC. Two other mid-major players, Andrew Carr and Jao Ituka, will play for the Demon Deacons as well.
