2025 QB Cutter Woods commits to Wake Forest
Anderson (S.C.) Westside three-star quarterback Cutter Woods has committed to Wake Forest, he announced on Wednesday.
He chose the Demon Deacons while also holding offers from Auburn, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and others.
Woods is the No. 583 overall prospect and No. 35 QB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 7 prospect in South Carolina.
The 6-foot-2.5, 195-pounder becomes the 11th member of Wake’s 2025 recruiting class — which checks in at No. 37 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Woods is also the highest-ranked pledge in the fold for Dave Clawson and Co.

It’s a defense-heavy class for the Deacs, as seven of the 11 commits fall on that side of the ball. Sparta (N.J.) Pope John three-star linebacker Tyler Houser, Naples (Fla.) First Baptist three-star safety Logan Bartley and Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett three-star EDGE Cole Funderburk highlight the defensive pledges.
On the offensive side, Woods is flanked by Aurora (Ontario) Hun School three-star offensive tackle Nathan Pahanich, Purcellville (Va.) Loudoun Valley three-star interior offensive lineman Will Saba and Somerville (N.J.) three-star running back Terrell Mitchell.
