Saint Augustine (Fla.) St. Augustine High three-star quarterback Locklan Hewlett has decommitted from Wake Forest, he announced on Sunday.

Hewlett had previously been committed to the Demon Deacons since June 2023.

“I want to thank Wake Forest, Coach Clawson, Coach Ruggerio, and the whole staff for everything they did for me,” he wrote on Twitter. “But after careful consideration with my family I am decommitting from Wake Forest University and will be reopening my recruitment.”
