“To start off, I would like to thank God himself for all his blessing in life while giving me the opportunity to do what I love on the next level,” Green wrote. “I would also thank all of my family, friends, and coaches for being supportive of me and pushing me to be the best person I can be both on and off the field. Lastly, I want to thank all the colleges and universities and their coaches for taking the time to evaluate and recruit me as a player and giving me an opportunity to play at their school. This was a fun yet tough process to go through but I’m thankful for it all. I’m also grateful to receive a full scholarship offer from the coaches at the University of Washington. With that being said, I am 1000% committed to the University of Washington.”
The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder posted 56 tackles and four interceptions as a senior this season at Lamar. Jaivion Green is the Huskies’ third commitment in the past six days and their ninth overall high school pledge. Washington’s class ranks No. 78 nationally and No. 11 in the Pac-12, according to the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.
