Jase Butler, a four-star point guard in the 2024 class, tells On3 that he’s committed to the University of Washington and new head coach Danny Sprinkle.

The 6-foot-4 senior out of The Branson School (CA) was previously signed with Illinois but requested to be released from his National Letter of Intent earlier this month in order to reopen his recruitment. He is now headed to Seattle.

Butler spoke to On3 to discuss his commitment to the Huskies.

“I chose Washington because of my relationship with coach Sprinkle and the staff and I feel like he will get the most out of me,” Butler said.

In his own words, what type of player is UW getting in Jase Butler?

“I would say I’m a big physical guard, high IQ player that can get buckets and shoot it from deep.”

He has a strong message for Washington fans.

“I’m ready to win championships and leave my legacy.”

Butler is ranked as the No. 101 overall player in the 2024 class, according to On3’s Top-150 Player Rankings. He’s also the No. 13 overall point guard in the class, and the No. 13 overall player in the state of California.
