4-star safety Rylon Dillard-Allen commits to Washington, Jedd Fisch: ‘I feel like he can change the program’
Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe four-star safety Rylon Dillard-Allen was at one point set to stay home as an Arizona State commit. Yet he backed off his pledge to the Sun Devils on May 15.
Washington took advantage of Dillard-Allen’s decision and eventually got him on campus for an official visit from June 21-23. The 5-foot-11.5, 165-pound defensive back privately committed to head coach Jedd Fisch and his staff on that trip and made his decision public on Friday.
“At the end of the day, it came down to my comfort at a school and relationships,” Dillard-Allen told On3. “That’s what Washington had over the other schools.”
Dillard-Allen, who chose Washington over Alabama, Texas A&M and UCLA, has visited Seattle twice and is excited to play college football for the Big Ten program. One of the things that “intrigued” him the most about the Huskies was them giving him a chance to play at cornerback, nickelback and safety.
The No. 4 player in Arizona feels good around Washington’s coaching staff. Dillard-Allen – On3’s No. 30 safety in the 2025 cycle — is currently closest with cornerbacks coach John Richardson and safeties coach Vinnie Sunseri.
“What matters to me is the people that I’m going to be around all day,” said Dillard-Allen. I wanted to be around good people, people I can vibe with and people I can socialize with.”
Dillard-Allen is excited about the leadership of the program
Dillard-Allen likes how playing for Fisch will give him the opportunity to compete early for a spot on the field. The four-star also believes the Huskies’ head man will guide the program to success, as he led Arizona to a 10-win season in 2023.

“I like that he gives the young guys a chance,” Dillard-Allen said. “Adam Mohammed and Demond Williams Jr. will each get a shot. They are Arizona guys too, so it’s fun to see that everybody is getting a fair shot at playing time in his system.”
“The way he was able to build that Arizona team was impressive,” he added. “Now, he has better facilities and better resources in Seattle. I feel like he can change the program around since he could change Arizona.”
In addition to Fisch, is looking forward to learning from Richardson and Sunseri. Richardson followed Fisch to Washington, while Sunseri is coming to the Huskies from the New England Patriots.
“I’ve known coach Richardson since I was a freshman,” Dillard-Allen said. “When I talk to coach Richardson, we don’t really talk about football. We check in about life and he teaches me how to be a man. With coach Sunseri, he expresses to me every time we talk on the phone and text that he wants me there.”
Dillard-Allen is the No. 364 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking.
